- ACI Plastics, Inc., a thermoplastics recycler and processor, announced it is expanding its operations to Oconee County, SC.
- The Flint, MI-based company plans to invest $4.1 million into the 88,000 square foot warehouse in Westminster. Renovations are expected to be finished in the spring of 2015.

The expansion is part of a strategic growth plan, implemented to expand ACI’s reach into the South. The company currently operates ACI South, a plant located in Anderson, SC that specializes in disassembly, warehousing, and recycling scrap plastics used in the medical industry. The Andersen plant will be shuttered and its operations consolidated into the new facility.
Scott Melton, the president of ACI plastics, said that the company expects the operation in South Carolina to become as large as the company’s headquarters in Michigan. ACI also has locations in Tempe, AZ and Nebraska.
