Dive Brief:
- Advance Disposal Co. Inc., a waste and recycling hauler, reopened its recently upgraded municipal solid waste material recovery facility (MSW MRF) in Hesperia, CA.
- The facility replaced an older model sorting system; the new CP system can process 50 tons per hour instead of the 20 tons per hour processed by the older model.
- According to Shelia Bath, the president of Advance Disposal, the facility was one of the first mixed material processing MRFs in California.
Dive Insight:
Advance Disposal contracted with the CP Group to redesign the plant and install equipment. CP Group engineers, manufactures, and installs MRF around the globe for commercial and industrial recycling, municipal solid waste recycling, electronic scrap processing, and construction and demo recycling.
"They did a fine job of planning the installation so that we were able to continue operations with a minimum of down time," said Advance Disposal president Sheila Bath of CP Group's work.
