- Applied Clean Tech (ACT), a San Diego, CA-based wastewater development firm, has received approval for two IP patents.
- Recyllose, a reusable material comprised of cellulose produced by wastewater, was granted a patent. The material can be used as feedstock for plastics, in bio-fuel production, insulation, pulp, paper and construction.
- The second proprietary process consists of a Sewage Recycling System, a technology that transforms wastewater treatment plants into a raw materials facility where reusable materials will be recycled from sewage.

In addition, Applied Clean Tech announced that Yuval Rabin, the President and Chairman of Waste to Products, has been named to ACT’s board of advisors. Rabin has a wealth of experience in working alongside multinational corporations, governments, states, and federal entities in numerous sectors, which will be of benefit to ACT.
ACT is looking for business partners and has launched a new campaign to raise additional funds. The company wants to raise $2.5 million in this through crowd funding or direct investment.
