- A microbrewery in Savannah, GA, Southbound Brewing Company, joined forces with Novelis to release its beer in the evercan, an aluminum beverage can made from high-content aluminum. The brews will be available in the new cans this week.
- The evercan is comprised of used beverage containers, and contains a minimum of 90% certified recycled content.
- The Southbound Brewing Company is one of almost 50 craft brewing companies in the U.S. that signed the Brewery Climate Declaration, a commitment to reduce the environmental impact of the brewing process.

Novelis also signed the Climate Declaration, and is committed to reducing its GHG emissions by 50% through recycling. The company also plans to recycle 80% of its aluminum by 2020.
Novelis, an industrial aluminum company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, launched the evercan in May 2014. The can is touted by the company as a beverage can made from more recyclables than any other can available at this time.
