- The fines are the result of violations stemming from a waste oil spill found at a site in Charlton, MA.
- Heavy black oil was discovered by the Charlton Fire Department in the recycling yard, which was then traced to underground storage tanks waiting to be recycled as scrap. The tanks held 150 gallons of waste oil, and should have been empty.
