- As part of the promotion, the tour will celebrate America Recycles Day on November 15, a day used to encourage the public to recycle nationwide. On this date, the traveling recycling tour will be in New York City.
Dive Insight:
The tour will take place in a mobile unit, a Recycling RV which will encourage visitors to recycle through interactive demonstrations. The RV’s route can be tracked online so those interested can see exactly where the RV will be.
This is not the first on-the-road recycling campaign. Rob Greenfield, an advocate for recycling food waste, biked across the U.S. numerous times to expose the volume of food that grocery stores and everyday people discard on a daily basis.
