P&G currently has 70 zero waste manufacturing sites. The company had previously implemented a list of sustainability goals -- known as “12 Environmental Sustainability Goals” -- including using 100% renewable or recyclable materials in all products and packaging, in addition to zero consumer waste reaching landfills.
P&G said it is working to replace petroleum-based raw materials by 2020 with renewable components -- if it proves cost-effective and manageable for the company to implement.
