- Recyclebank works with many municipalities and brands, and reports having 4 million members participating in their rewards programs. North Miami was the first Southeast community in the U.S. to use Recyclebank, deploying its program in 2009.

Waste360 has reported that Recyclebank also operates a program for schools to submit an application that creates or expands sustainable practices, then choosese the top 50 proposals for the chance to raise up to $2,500 for their projects.
In addition to tackling recycling compliance, the company is addressing a huge problem for the recycling industry: contamination. By providing consumers in more than 350 communities across the U.S. with monthly educational programs, Recyclebank aims to teach its members how they can help prevent contamination.
