Since 1990, Midwest Fiber Recycling has been Central Illinois’ leader in full-service recycling options. Originally known as Weyerhaeuser Recycling in Normal and Decatur Paper Recycle Co. in Decatur, Midwest Fiber Recycling focuses on providing creative and effective solutions for its clients’ recycling needs.


Today, Midwest Fiber Recycling operates facilities in Bloomington-Normal IL, Decatur IL, Springfield IL, Peoria IL, Urbana IL, and Terre Haute, IN – and our service area extends throughout the Midwest. Combined, it owns more than 375,000 square feet of processing and warehousing facilities and processes over 300 MILLION pounds of recyclable materials each year!


In an effort to further support the needs of its clients, Midwest Fiber Recycling opened an additional division in 2003: Confidential On-Site Paper Shredding (C.O.P.S.). C.O.P.S. provides on-site, secure document shredding services for businesses throughout the area, including, purging and media/hard drive destruction services.


In 2011, the company grew exponentially with the construction of a new $8 million state-of-the-art single-stream Materials Recovery Facility at its Normal, Illinois location as well as the development of a community composting program. The single-stream expansion enabled the company to increase participation and make recycling easier for its Central Illinois residents. The community composting program offers Bloomington-Normal schools, restaurants, and local businesses the opportunity to compost food scraps verses throwing them in the trash.


Midwest Fiber acquired Data Management Services in Terre Haute, Indiana in 2013. The acquisition combined Data Management's expertise with Midwest Fiber's recycling capabilities. The companies' combined proficiencies will also lead to near and long-term growth opportunities, creating more "green jobs," and diversifying the types of commercial materials that can be recycled.


In July of 2017, Midwest Fiber was excited to announce the acquisition of Community Resource Inc (CRI) in Urbana, IL; a sales agreement combining two companies' capabilities, knowledgeable teams, and customized recycling services. Midwest Fiber was excited to purchase the operation from Matt Snyder, who began CRI with its recycling services to commercial and industrial customers in 1996. This acquisition will offer the Champaign-Urbana area additional recycling services, and give businesses the opportunity to reduce the amount of materials being sent to the landfill.


Job Description

Sales Manager – Southern Indiana and Illinois Territory


This position is open due to a recent acquisition (we are growing!) and comes with a great base salary and commission plan, great benefits (including a profit sharing plan that has paid off to employees for over 23 years), expenses, the opportunity to do good work, be respected for what you do while growing your career and income.  Midwest Fiber is truly a great place to work.


This person filling this position will live somewhere between Indianapolis and Terre Haute and they will serve our Indianapolis and south territory. Relocation assistance will be available for successful candidate.


Midwest Fiber, a fast growing, well respected, regional leader in the paper, plastic, single stream and confidential onsite paper shredding recycling industries, is seeking an outside Sales Manager for our southern Indiana territory.


This position will report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer.  We expect that there will be very little, if any, overnight travel required in this position.



The Sales Representative will be responsible for the full range of sales activities (prospecting, sales calls, proposal generation, simple reporting, etc.).


The ideal candidate for this position will:


·          Have 3 plus years of previous sales experience in our industry with demonstrated sales successes,


·          Have a stable job history, positive approach to work and people, high integrity, excellent planning and interpersonal skills.
