Washington, D.C. - December 11, 2017 - Today, Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) opened registration for the TRUE Advisor certificate program. The certificate recognizes zero waste professionals who are trained on GBCI’s TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) program. TRUE Advisors understand zero waste business principles, the requirements of the TRUE Zero Waste Rating System, help projects achieve TRUE certification and are committed to growing and advancing zero waste values and policies.
The online training program will start in late December and registration is now open. Individuals who register by December 31 will receive a 20 percent discount. There are no eligibility requirements to become a TRUE Advisor—just a passion for and proven commitment to zero waste and sustainable design principles. In order to receive the professional certificate, participants must complete the on-demand training program and pass an online assessment within 90 days of registration.
Cost for the certificate program is $350 for U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) members and $450 for nonmembers. The TRUE Advisor certificate demonstrates a commitment to preserving and improving the environment; that you possess the knowledge necessary to diverting unnecessary waste from landfills, incineration (waste-to-energy) and the environment; and a willingness to assist others in achieving TRUE zero waste operations.
