- A newly implemented manufacturer take-back program at the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station in New Mexico has prompted a recycling contractor in Santa Fe to accept e-waste it was not able to accept before.
- The law in New Mexico does not require electronics manufacturers to pay the additional costs associated with recycling TVs; however, Natural Evolutions, the recycling company for the transfer station, convinced an anonymous manufacturer to absorb the extra costs for the state.

Fees for residents to recycle have decreased to around 55 cents for 20 pounds, as compared to $10 to $20 for four pounds of electronics charged prior to the program.
