Police were called about 11 a.m. to the 6500 block of South California Avenue after a garbage crew saw a leg protruding from a garbage bag inside their dump truck, according to police News Affairs.
Investigators from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office were also called to the scene, and authorities then found the body of a male inside the truck, police said.
