- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced the addition of nine hazardous waste sites to its National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund sites.
- The EPA is also proposing the inclusion of an additional eight sites to the list.
List of sites added to the NPL:
- Beck's Lake, South Bend, Indiana
- Keystone Corridor Ground Water Contamination, Indianapolis, Indiana
- Garden City Ground Water Plume, Garden City, Indiana
- Cristex Drum, Oxford, North Carolina
- Hemphill Road TCE, Gastonia, North Carolina
- Collins & Alkman Plant, Farmington, New Hampshire
- Jackpile-Paguate Uranium Mine, Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico
- Wilcox Oil Company, Bristow, Oklahoma
- Makah Reservatio Warmhouse Beach Dump, Neah Bay, Washington
