• Businesses are required to recycle at least one type of material that makes up the greatest volume in its waste stream.

Businesses can contract with any recycling firm that is certified by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The town has the ability to verify a retailer has a contract with a recycling company by requesting a valid contract from the hauler or the owner can provide copies of receipts. Businesses who are found non-compliant may face consequences.
