• Officials in Sandoval County, New Mexico agreed to a land swap with the New Mexico Land Office that will be used for the cite of a new landfill.

• The county traded its 2.3 acre parcel worth $525,000 in a development for 650 acres of state trust land valued at $550,000.

• Once it is in operation, the new landfill is expected to double the revenue the county receives at its current 160 acre site.
