• On May 29, a colossal fire was reported at a recycling plant in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
• The company, Pan Pacific Fiber, is primarily a paper and cardboard recycler.
• The fire was massive; 100 firefighters from surrounding areas were called to the scene to fight the blaze. The fire burned for hours, fed by the large amounts of cardboard on site.

Dive Insight:

No injuries were reported. Officials stopped trains from operating on nearby tracks while two roads were shut down until the fire could be contained.
