- York, PA-based Penn Waste Inc. recently launched a 96,000 square foot recycling plant. Eugene, OR-based Bulk Handling Systems is responsible for creating, producing and putting in place the plant’s single-stream processing system.
- The new plant improves the waste and recycling company’s processing operations by more than three times, manufactured to increase the company’s recovery rates.
- Penn Waste is now capable of processing and sorting 35 tons of recyclables per hour, an increase from the old system’s 10 tons per hour.

Penn Waste Inc. has an over 100-truck collection fleet that has 175,000 Pennsylvania customers. Collections of waste by the company go to waste-to-energy sites or are recycled.
