Short rail train operator, Regional Rail, announced on Monday that they had purchased the Conshohocken Recycling & Rail Transfer station.
The transfer facility is the largest in the area, and is permitted to recycle up to 2,000 tons of C&D waste per day.
“The recycling business in general has continued to grow despite the lackluster economy and continued housing slowdown,” said Regional Rail Vice President Al Sauer, “and we feel this facility is ideally located to serve this market both now and in the future.”
The station was originally part of Total Waste Logistics L.L.C., of Canfield, Ohio, which went bankrupt in 2009.
