• Cintas, a staff uniform manufacturing company, announced a collaboration with Know Hope, a Cincinnati-based non-profit that reaches out to third world countries. 
• The organization plans to use textile waste materials donated by Cintas and transform them into reusable bags. Profit from selling the bags would be used to fund services for families in Mexico, Haiti and Africa.
• Cintas manager of sustainability for Melanie Boyle told Waste 360 that the average amount of textile waste generated by one person is 70 pounds. She notes that "corporations have a responsibility to help divert this waste from landfills."
