Three suspects who broke into a waste transfer station near DeLand in February and stole $18,000 in items are believed to be connected to other crimes around the state, a sheriff's spokesman said Tuesday.
Kevin Officer, 25, Corey Marnik, 25, and David Whitley, 23, broke into the Volusia County solid waste site off State Road 44 near the fairgrounds the night of Feb. 6, said sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson.
