GreenWaste®, California’s premier collections and resource recovery company, announced today the acquisition of Certified Blue Recycling, a recycling and waste transfer station in San Leandro, CA. Effective immediately, GreenWaste will take over operations of the transfer station, which accepts mixed construction and demolition debris, source-separated materials, and more.
“The new GreenWaste San Leandro Transfer Station is an important step in our long-term growth strategy,” said Clete Elms, GreenWaste’s CEO. “Our goal is to support customers by providing the best possible service while achieving the highest levels of diversion through our innovative resource recovery solutions.”
The acquisition expands GreenWaste’s footprint in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, allowing the company to serve the growing demand for high-diversion recycling and processing. As a part of the acquisition, GreenWaste offered jobs to all current employees at the transfer station. The company’s goal is to continue to grow local, sustainability-driven job opportunities as it expands in the California market.
“GreenWaste customers now have more options in the East Bay, with the San Leandro Transfer Station complementing our existing GreenWaste Hayward Transfer Station,” said Ricky Lopez, VP of Post-Collections. “We’re excited to welcome new and returning customers to our San Leandro facility.”
The GreenWaste San Leandro Transfer station is open to the public Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. For more information, visit www.greenwaste.com/sanleandro.
