- State and county authorities in Arizona have accused a recycling company of purchasing stolen cars to use for scrap metal and served the salvage yards with 15 warrants.
- 12 people at Phoenix's Hendrix and Co. Recycling were arrested in "Operation Tin Man," for their involvement in the case.
- Charges include trafficking stolen property, fraudulent schemes, money laundering, operation of a criminal enterprise and conspiracy.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Arizona Attorney General's Office and the Pinal County Attorney's Office worked together during the 15 month investigation. Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said, “Currently, there are four cases that have been charged out of this investigation involving employees of Hendrix Recycling Co., as well as family members of the Hendrix family.”
