Cascade Investment buys additional 220K Republic Services shares

  • Cascade Investment, Republic Services' majority shareholder, acquired an additional 221,382 shares of stock in Republic Services. 
  • Cascade, a major shareholder of the waste and recycling company, now owns 89,856,142 shares, valued at an estimated $3.3 billion. ​
  • The transaction was finalized on Thursday, June 12.

Republic Services announced its most recent earnings result on Thursday, April 24. The company reported revenue of $2.07 billion for the quarter, up 3.8% on a year-over-year basis.
