From the article:
Coca-Cola Co. and half a dozen of its Mexican bottlers are investing $34 million to double the capacity of the PetStar SA de CV food-grade PET recycling facility in Toluca, 40 miles west of Mexico City.
In a news release, Coke said the expansion will enable the plant to recycle 120 million pounds of PET per year, making it the largest food-grade PET recycling facility in Latin America.
When it opened in April 2009, the plant could reprocess about 64 million pounds of PET, roughly the equivalent of 1 billion bottles, a year. It employed 70, including administrative staff. The facility was built over 14 months. The expansion is likely to be completed within a similar time frame, although Coke did not say when it will be operational.
