- According to Recycling Today, Rumpke Recycling plans to expand its recycling plant in Dayton, OH. The addition will cost an expected $2.5 million.
- The expansion includes a dust collection system, equipment that processes corrugated containers and an updated sorting system. According to Rumpke, the upgrade should increase efficiency and add to the volume of materials the facility processes.
- Glass will be processed at the site, while metals, paper and plastic will be transported to Rumpke's Cincinnati facility for sorting and processing. Corrugated containers will be sent to manufacturers.

Mike Bramkamp, Rumpke's regional vice president, told Recycling Today that "the new Dayton model could serve as a template for our other regional facilities."
In November of 2013, Rumpke also opened a new $32 million recycling plant in St. Bernard, OH.
