Rumpke wins award for OH recycling efforts

  • Rumpke Waste and Recycling was given an award for its contributions to recycling in Ohio throughout the past 25 years.
  • The award was presented to the waste and recycling firm by the Association of Ohio Recyclers and the Buckeye Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America.
  • Rumpke was founded in 1932 and is headquartered in Colerain Township, OH. Its recycling division was created in 1989.

The company currently owns and operates 10 recycling facilities in Ohio and Kentucky.

In November of 2013, Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. opened a new recycling plant in St. Bernard, OH. $32 million was invested in the facility, which is capable of processing up to one million pounds of recyclables daily.
