Dive Insight:
Action is proving that, while it is still a small company, it is making a significant footprint in densely-populated states like New York and New Jersey.
"We are pleased with the acquisition of Pequannock Disposal Service, to complement our north New Jersey operations. We are particularly pleased with the quality of employees who have now joined our team. This further allows us to continue to level of services, the customers have come to accept” said Ron Bergamini, Action CEO, in a press statement.
Action has also made strides lately in increasing safety across its fleet, most notably by increasing its internal safety team, leverage third-eye cameras to monitor drivers, and implementing employee safety training and testing. In an April interview with Waste360, Action Safety Director Ken Levine said, "Our ownership has stated that we need to be as safe as the Waste Managements of the world and with that in mind, we serve on the NWRA safety committee to get input for the smaller guys."
