Waste Harmonics Keter CEO Bob Boucher departed the company last month, and is now leading Missouri-based packaging company Novvia Group. Scott Gilbertson, chair of Waste Harmonics Keter's board and partner at its private equity backer, TPG, is serving as interim CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement, according to a spokesperson.
Waste Harmonics Keter is backed by TPG Growth, an equity platform of global asset manager TPG. The investor first acquired Keter Environmental in 2021 before reaching a deal with Waste Harmonic's backer Arcapita to merge the two brokers in 2023.
At the time, the combined company was expected to serve about 750 customers in nearly 70,000 locations. Waste Harmonics Keter has combined Keter's retail services expertise with Waste Harmonics' industrial waste service capabilities to provide a broader range of services, Chief Commercial Officer Stephen Mohan told Waste Dive in May.
The merged company has taken a methodical approach to the combination and announced layoffs earlier this year in its New York office, which Mohan attributed to the restructuring process. Waste Harmonics Keter’s new headquarters is in Stamford, Connecticut, where Keter was based.
The combined company announced Boucher as its CEO on May 3, 2024. He took over for Michael Hess, who was previously CEO of Waste Harmonics.
TPG did not offer comment on Boucher's departure, and Boucher did not respond to a request for comment.
Boucher has a history of leading growing companies under private equity management. Through 2023, he was president and CEO of Win Waste Innovations, which was formed under Macquarie after it acquired Wheelabrator Technologies and other waste-related assets. Boucher had previously been CEO of Wheelabrator.
An industry veteren, Boucher was also formerly CEO of Transpacific and held other roles at companies like WM, Republic Services and Synagro.
