- Republic Services announced that it is offing free waste and recycling consultation services to businesses in Las Vegas.
- The waste and recycling company is expanding an established program for residents that has been in existence since 2009. Republic will now be working with companies to create a customized plan that will help them properly dispose of or recycle materials.
- The program is seen as a way to promote recycling and transform the core culture of businesses and their handling of waste.
Republic Services broke ground at the site of its new Vegas recycling complex on November 6. At an estimated 110,000 square feet upon completion, the plant is slated to be one of the largest recycling facilities in the country. The finished space will reportedly cost $34 million to construct.
