Illinois based Stericycle released Q1 earnings today.
Total revenues for the Q1 were $460.1 million, up 15.6% from $398.1 million from the first quarter last year. Of that revenue growth, acquisitions contributed about $41.0 million compared with 2011.
Stericycle net income for the quarter was $64.9 million compared with $55.7 million in 2011.
"The M&A remains strong," said Frank J.M. ten Brink, the CFO and CAO. "We have over $100 million in our pipeline. It’s both on the domestic front and international and it continues as we said in previous calls that the European marketplace is very positive. We did three transactions in Spain, this last quarter which again, also gives us the opportunity to expand and tuck-in those acquisitions. So, as we said in previous quarters, that turmoil does create some opportunities for us."
