- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has awarded J.P. Mascaro & Sons, a local solid waste company, a new 10-year permit for the White Pines residual waste landfill in Millville, PA.
- The landfill opened in the spring of 1998 and is one of the only DEP-permitted residual waste landfills in the state of Pennsylvania.
- J.P. Mascaro & Sons is one of the largest privately-owned waste service companies in the country, with operations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and New Jersey.
While many landfill sites struggle to obtain permits that allow the site to expand or continue operations, the White Pines Landfill has been repeatedly successful.
"As a solid waste facility permittee, Mascaro is very mindful and respectful of its obligation to the environment. In fact, our company’s highest priority goal is 100% environmental compliance, not only at the White Pines Landfill, but also at our other DEP-permitted transfer stations, landfills and compost facilities." said Company Director of Environmental Compliance Matthew Mascaro.
